This Capitol Hill penthouse sold as the highest priced Northeast D.C. condo since 2008

A new record has been broken in Washington, D.C., this time in Capitol Hill. According to a press release, a Northeast Capitol Hill condo recently sold for $1,525,000, making it the highest sold condo in the quadrant since 2008. The listing was located at The Sanctuary, a converted former church located at 819 D Street NE.

The fairly new 30-unit development offers a myriad of unique design elements, including restored stained and leaded glass windows. The penthouse that sold offered two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms across 2,315 square feet of space.

According to the listing, the unit came with two parking spots, stainless steel appliances, gas cooking, and secured access. The monthly HOA dues totaled $730.
