This weekend, hundreds of kite enthusiasts flocked to the grounds of the Washington Monument, ready to spot kites of all shapes, sizes, and colors fluttering above them in celebration of the Blossom Kite Festival.
This seventh annual event is part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. At the free event, visitors could bring their own kites or make their own at an activity station on the field.
In celebration of the spring-centric event, Curbed has put together a few photos that perfectly showcase how perfect the weather was and how excited the visitors were.
