A park owned by both Arlington County and the City of Alexandria is planned to get some major upgrades, according to ARLnow. The park, South Park at Potomac Yard, is located south of Crystal City and comes with a publicly accessible playground, playground, and grassy field.
Arlington County’s website indicates that the phased upgrades will include constructing a trail connection that links Route 1 to the Four Mile Run trail. The second construction phase will complete park elements that will be decided through a civic engagement process.
The hope is to improve the water quality of Four Mile Run and take advantage of view sheds.
