No moats or dragons included

The D.C. area is known for monuments and memorials, not castles. Regardless, there are still some castles up for grabs, such as this one, located in Bethesda, Maryland.

When this home first landed on the market in March 2016, it asked $4,449,000. It later got a price chop in September 2016, dropping it to $3,999,000. Recently, it experienced one additional—maybe one final?—price chop, dropping it down to the current ask, $3,895,000.

Inside, there are five bedrooms and five bathrooms across roughly 9,000 square feet of space. The entire structure spans four levels with a location that offers a half-acre lot. The residence was constructed in c. 1890 and has since been renovated and restored, according to the listing.

Some amenities that homebuyers may be most interested in include the elevator and enclosed sunroom.

The kitchen is also pretty spacious with stainless steel appliances, walls of windows, and stone accents throughout.

An in-law suite with a kitchen is also offered.

Unfortunately, no moat or dragons come with the listing.
