Previously, there were plans to construct an “International City” in Loudoun County that would have featured 14 million square feet of mixed-use development. H. Chris Antigone hoped to build a convention center, an entertainment district, office space, and over 4,000 hotel rooms, as reported by Bisnow.
Now, the 279-acre site is up for grabs with JLL marketing the site. Bisnow reported, “Jay Taustin, the son of Antigone's original partner, decided in September to pursue options to sell the property, and this week he retained JLL to help him market the site.”
In March 2016, lawsuits claimed Antigone spent hundreds of thousands of dollars without proper approval. This resulted in Fairfax County Circuit Judge David Schell removing him from the ownership group.
