Alexander Graham Bell's Georgetown carriage house chops $100K from price, asks $2.2M

Maybe now this over 100-year-old listing can finally find a buyer

Scottish-born inventor Alexander Graham Bell once lived in this carriage house, and now it’s on the market for homebuyers to nab. The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home first landed on the market in November 2016 for $2,395,000. Recently, the price was chopped by $100,000, dropping it down to $2,295,000.

The historic residence was constructed in c. 1900. While old, it still seems new with stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, a rather pretty stone patio in the backyard, and built-ins throughout. In the living room, there is a working fireplace. Gated parking is also available for three cars.

Viewing is by appointment only.
