Less than a mile away from the Silver Spring Metro station, there are plans for a residential project with 70 affordable units, as reported by Bisnow. Each of the units will be for those making up to 60 percent of the area median income.

The project is located at 715 and 719 Sligo Avenue, led by a development team that entails the Montgomery Housing Partnership, Tony Calkins, Mekonnen Abraham, and Robert Margolis, through the entity REBJ LLC. Bisnow reports that the development team acquired the sites for $2.4 million.

Groundbreaking is estimated for the fall of 2018.
