Co-working spaces continue to proliferate in the D.C. area. The most recent collaborative office spaces that have opened are located in Capitol Hill, Rosslyn, Virginia, and Chevy Chase, with future plans for a co-working space at the Southwest Waterfront’s The Wharf. Now, it’s been revealed to Curbed DC that there are plans for yet another co-working location, this time in Downtown’s K Street NW.

One of Europe's most prominent and fastest-growing co-working providers, Mindspace, plans on opening their first U.S. locations in San Francisco and D.C. The location in the District will be located at One Franklin Square, at 1301 K Street NW, the same location as the Washington Post’s headquarters. This 12-story, 1989-constructed building is currently the tallest commercial building in Washington, D.C.

The Mindspace location in One Franklin Square is expected to span 31,000 square feet with the ability to accommodate over 500 members. The opening is scheduled for the second quarter of 2018 with amenities that will include a rooftop lounge.

Monthly prices will range from $350 for a “hot desk” and $450 for a “dedicated desk” up to $5,400 for an office for nine individuals.

Mindspace was founded in 2014 and currently operates in 16 spaces across the world, including London, Berlin, Munich, Tel Aviv, and Warsaw. Each community comes with networking events and happy hours.
