Thanks to a recent acquisition, there are plans to make a multitude of upgrades to a 405,000-square-foot office building only a few blocks away from the L’Enfant Plaza Metro station. New York City-based developer The Georgetown Company acquired 370 L’Enfant Promenade in the Southwest D.C. quadrant with hopes to appeal to private sector and government tenants alike.
Already, the building is 70 percent leased with tenants that include the Smithsonian Institution, Accenture, and the Federal Aviation Administration. The 10-story building houses 421 parking spaces on-site.
Upgrades that are expected to come include new HVAC systems, new elevators, and updated elevator lobbies and bathrooms, according to a press release. The tenant-only gym will also be revamped. A new quick-casual restaurant is planned for the ground floor.
In early 2018, the Federal Bureau of Prisons will move into a 113,000-square-foot lease in the building for the agency’s administrative offices.
