Ballston, Virginia, has a brand new apartment community, and it’s known as The Rixey. With a total of 267 residential units, this new building replaced an eight-story office building that was previously on the site and later demolished.

The units range from studios to two-bedrooms with prices starting from $1,895 per month to $3,790 per month. In each of the units, there is hardwood flooring throughout, stainless steel appliances, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Some units also offer balconies.

Some of the many amenities of this LEED Gold-certified building include that it has a rooftop deck with grilling stations and private cabanas, a fitness center, and an outdoor courtyard. Commuters will also be pleased to know that there is a bike repair station and the Ballston-MU Metro station within walking distance.

According to a press release, the name of the building was inspired by Dr. Presley Rixey, who previously worked as a personal physician to Presidents William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt.
