Ian Mahinmi, the newest addition to the Washington Wizards team and one of NBA’s top players, recently paid $2.65 million for a property in Cleveland Park, as reported by Washington Business Journal.
In July, the six-bedroom single-family home landed on the market with all new systems and a new roof. Everything from the bathrooms to the flooring were replaced with "NO EXPENSE ... SPARED [sic]," according to the listing. Before the major overhaul, the residence last sold for $855,000 in 2014. Throughout, there are floor-to-ceiling windows as well as highlights like a spacious patio and two-car detached garage.
Commenters on the DC Urban Moms and Dads forum described the residence as being on a busy street. An anonymous commenter said, "For an athlete, I'm not sure this is the best choice. This is so exposed. Not just from the street but even within your home there aren't many places to get privacy."
