Rockville's Upper Rock District begins site work for final phase

MOM's Organic Market and CVS are on their way

A new neighborhood market and pharmacy are on their way to Rockville’s 20-acre mixed-use neighborhood, Upper Rock District.

The JBG Companies recently began site work on the final phase of the mixed-use community, located off Shady Grove Road at Interstate 270. According to a press release, the retail addition is comprised of three single-story buildings with a total of 34,700 square feet on 4.5 acres of land.

The 14,600-square-foot CVS Pharmacy is expected to deliver in mid-2017, while the 16,000-square-foot MOM’s Organic Market is slated to open by the fall of 2017. An additional 4,100 square feet of space is still up for grabs for a restaurant or service retail.

This new development will replace the existing 5 Choke Cherry office building.
