Pet-friendly amenities to invade more than 70 developments in Washington, D.C.

Expect “Yappy Hours,” dog spas, and in-home pet sitting

Pet-friendly amenities are about to spread across the nation’s capital. 55 multi-family properties recently signed on to accept services from the pet concierge company, Baroo. An additional 16 properties are currently finalizing their contracts with the company.

Soon, residents from properties like Station House and The Hepburn will have access to customizable, on-demand pet-care services, including dog walk and run programs, in-home pet sitting, feeding, vet visits, and training. According to a press release, select properties will feature dog spas and sanctuaries as well as grooming and styling appointments. "Yappy Hours" will also be available for pet owners to mix and mingle.

Baroo has locations across the nation, from Boston to Chicago, with a portfolio of 50,000 residences.

Curbed reached out to Baroo to see which residences signed up for the pet concierge company, but the information was not given by the time of this article’s publication. Expect an update to this article when the information is provided.
