A new artist incubator space is being planned for H Street NE. The project, which was first reported by UrbanTurf, will also feature office, residential, and a restaurant/retail space. The project will be located at 1341 H Street NE, which currently houses Star & Shamrock and Bullfrog Bagels. There are no reports as to whether or not the retailers will be relocated.
As can be seen in the above architectural drawing, the plans for each floor vary. Below the project, there will be parking with 11 spaces as well as utilities and storage. On the ground floor, there will be a restaurant/retail space.
On the first and second levels, there will be "non-residential space," topped by two floors of residential space with eight total units. On the roof level, there will be four private terraces. UrbanTurf reported that the second and third levels will be office incubator space for artists and design professionals. The third level will also feature a live/work unit.
