The Capitol building joins LEGO’s Architecture series, making it the third Washington, D.C. building in the set, alongside the Lincoln Memorial and the White House. The LEGO Architecture series includes notable buildings like Big Ben, the Flatiron Building, and the Villa Savoye.
When fully constructed, the 1,032-piece LEGO model stands six-and-a-half inches high and 17-inches-long. When the dome is removed, it reveals the National Statuary Hall, detailed with columns, eight statues, and a tiled floor. The model will also include a booklet with information on the building’s design, architecture, and history.
On September 1, 2016, the U.S. Capitol LEGO set will be available for purchase on LEGO.com, LEGO retail stores, and participating LEGO retailers. The set will be priced at $99.99.
