Washington, D.C. Ranks as Sixth Priciest U.S. City to Rent In

See how apartment prices have progressed since last year

Zumper just released their latest National Rent Report with data from over 1 million listings across the nation. Like always, San Francisco topped the list with the highest rents. For a one-bedroom apartment in the city, the median monthly rent is $3,510, while for a two-bedroom, it’s $4,770.

In comparison, Washington, D.C. ranked as the sixth most expensive U.S. city to rent in. A one-bedroom costs a monthly median of $2,190, down 0.9 percent year-over-year. For a two-bedroom, it costs a median $3,040 per month, up 1.3 percent year-over-year.
