Demolition on the H Street Connection shopping center has officially begun. Once the shopping center has been razed, work will begin on a mixed-use project that will span several blocks of H Street NE, from 8th to 10th streets NE.
The new shopping center will feature 44,300 square feet of retail, 419 apartments, and 435 parking spaces. According to a press release, the building will have nine distinct facades as well as amenities like a rooftop pool and gardens.
The project is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2019, as reported by Washington Business Journal.
