RGIII’s Mansion Still Up for Grabs, Asks $2.7M

Does no one want this celebrity pad?

Just like how Robert Griffin III struggled as a quarterback for Washington, D.C.’s football team, his home is similarly striving to find a buyer on the Aldie, Virginia market. Since April of this year, the four-bedroom single-family home has languished, and rather than chop the price to make it more appealing for homebuyers, the listing has maintained its original ask, which is $2,749,990.

Maybe it’s the price that’s holding homebuyers back. For the 20175 ZIP code, this listing is way above the average priced home. According to Redfin, the median listing price for that ZIP code is $597,000. The block that the home is located in, though, is known for its pricey mansions. Only a few blocks away, this four-bedroom home sold for $1.47 million in October 2015, while this five-bedroom single-family home sold for $2.5 million in June 2016.

Rather than flaunt the fact that the current owner of the home is a celebrity, the listing description has altered slightly. Originally, it boldly stated, "This is the home of QB RG III." Now, those words have been replaced with a simple, "See HD Virtual Tour!"

Some of the most luxurious features in this home include that it has a wine cellar, theater room, and elevator. There is also a wet bar and a massive walk-in closet. To take a closer look at the listing, check out the photo gallery below.
