Originally, Anacostia was known for its long-lost Nacochtank Native American settlement. Now, it’s home to a diverse community, plenty of go-to venues, great eats, and best of all historic architecture. For those who love everything vintage, Curbed has collected a handful of black-and-white photos that date all the way back to 1909. While sorting through them, you might notice that the neighborhood hasn’t altered too greatly — a historic trait that many residents praise it for. If you notice anything, let Curbed know in the comments.
