Anacostia’s Five Most Expensive Homes on the Market

From a fixer-upper to a renovated beauty

↑ The most expensive listing in Anacostia is actually three properties being sold together. For the homes at 1431, 1433, and 1435 Good Hope Road SE, the price totals $1.3 million. Two of the listings are storefront businesses, while the other is a three-story residential home. According to the listing, the property at 1435 Good Hope Road SE has a new roof, new windows, and hardwood flooring throughout.

↑ In December 2015, the four-bedroom townhome located at 1321 Valley Place SE sold for $185,000. Now, roughly half a year later, the listing is back on the market for $549,000. Some of the highlights inside include exposed brick, stainless steel appliances, and a fully finished lower level and in-law suite.

↑ This renovated Anacostia townhome offers five bedrooms and a spacious, fenced-in backyard. With a $514,999 asking price, there is hardwood flooring throughout, stainless steel appliances, and a washer and dryer in the home. The basement is also fully finished. The location is 2262 High Street SE. The listing was first put on the market on November 2015 for $530,000 and later experienced a price chop.

↑ At 1716 16th Street SE, this semi-detached townhome comes with two kitchens and two sets of washers and dryers for homebuyers interested in renting out the lower level. In the kitchen, there are stainless steel appliances and an island with a built-in sink and a breakfast bar. The asking price for this three-bedroom abode totals $495,000.

↑ This three-bedroom listing doesn’t offer any photos of the inside of the home. While noting that the lot is "ideal for development," the listing adds that the home is in need of some work and upgrades. Despite all of this, this home should be of interest to those interested in a short walk to the Anacostia Metro station, which is only a block away. The price for this home at 1231 Talbert Street SE comes to $475,000.
