Robert Griffin III's Virginia Mansion is On the Market

You can live in the home of a celebrity for roughly $2.8 million

Last month, Robert Griffin III said goodbye to his time with the Washington football team, and now it looks like he's saying goodbye to his residence as well. Washingtonian reported that Griffin is selling his home in Aldie, Virginia for $2.749 million. Throughout the listing, there are details that point to the football player living there with photos of him in action and a Heisman Trophy in the living room. The listing also points out first and foremost that "This is the home of QB RG III."

Across the property's roughly 9,000 square feet of space, there are four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms. Some of the most luxurious amenities in the listing include the wine cellar, elevator, and lower level theater room with a wet bar. The home is located in the Creighton Farms gated community, which includes a private golf course.

While being named Rookie of the Year didn't help the football player's chances in keeping his contract with the Washington football team, being name-dropped in the listing probably won't help the listing's chance to sell. In an interview with Washington Business Journal, Sales Associate at Washington Fine Properties Kara Sheehan said that having a celebrity's name attached to a listing doesn't affect homebuyers' decisions.

For now, Griffin will be working with the Cleveland Browns and probably avoiding his former head coach and current neighbor Jay Gruden.
