As Zillow has proven, every state in the U.S. has certain keywords that attract local buyers. For example, in Virginia, the most popular amenity brought up in listings is a new heat pump, while for Maryland, "brick fronts" is the most common keyword.
For Washington, D.C., Zillow revealed that it's access to public transit that really sells. Homebuyers in the District are 156 times more likely to find the words "metro stop" and 123 times more likely to find the words "metro station" in listings. The amenity that is the most popular are roof decks, which homebuyers are 19 times more likely to find.
