What do LEO A DALY's and Studio27's La Casa, Foundry Architect's Minim House, and Shalom Baranes Associates' City Market at O all have in common? Not only are they all well-designed and well-known, but they all have been winners of the Washingtonian Residential Design Awards Program.
Already, submissions are being accepted for the 35th annual program for exceptional new construction, remodelings, additions, or adaptive use projects. The D.C. Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA DC) and Washingtonian are keeping the submission process open for registered architects with projects in the D.C. Metro area until May 9.
As part of this program, there are a total of five awards based on five categories: general, details, kitchens, bathrooms, and small projects with budgets less than $300,000. Projects are only able to be submitted in one category. Projects up for consideration must have been completed after January 1, 2011.
