WMATA Wants to Sell This Site by Braddock Road Metro

No one's taken a bid just yet

Right next to the Braddock Road Metro station, there is a 2.1-acre parcel that the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) wants to sell. Washington Business Journal reported that "the most immediate opportunity" for the site, according to a January 2015 market assessment, would be a mixed-use project with condos (200 units), hotel space (100 to 200 rooms), and service retail.

During the redevelopment, a bus loop and Kiss & Ride facilities will need to be replaced. According to Washington Business Journal, the developer will also need to realign Braddock Road with Wythe Street and provide a "vibrant neighborhood square activated by neighborhood-serving stores and restaurants, and ‘anchored’ by the WMATA station entrance."

Currently, there no solicitations on the site.
