Warren Buffett's Childhood Home in Spring Valley Asks $1.55M

Inside the home of one of the wealthiest people in the world

Before becoming the wealthiest person on the planet in 2008, Warren Buffett lived in this five-bedroom abode when he was a teenager, while his father served in the U.S. House of Representatives. UrbanTurf reported that during this time, the teenage Buffett sold soft drinks, his own horse-racing tip sheet, and was a paperboy. Because of a 2014 renovation and expansion, the Spring Valley listing as it is now is not identical to what it was like back when Buffett lived there.

The current owners offered the listing to the business magnate, but he turned it down, according to UrbanTurf. The single-family home is now on the market with a $1.55 million asking price, listed by Daryl Judy and Kimberly Casey of Washington Fine Properties. There is an open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday.
