Georgetown’s Valero station approved for mixed-use project

Expect seven residential units and a restaurant in the project

A Valero gas station located at what EastBanc Inc. President Anthony Lanier describes at the "entrance to Georgetown" is going to be converted into a seven-unit commercial building with a space for a restaurant with outdoor seating. The Georgetown Dish reported that the Zoning Commission recently approved the angular brick design project.

The project, located at 2715 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, previously encountered problems due to its irregular shape and small, 7,500-square-foot lot. Despite the hesitation from the Zoning Commission to allow the project to be constructed, the groundbreaking for the site is expected to begin mid-2017.

Construction is expected to take approximately 18 months with a delivery by late 2018 or early 2019, as reported by The Georgetown Dish.
