Finally, Arlington, Virginia’s most out of place single-family home has found a new owner. ARLnow reported that the mansion, known as Pershing Manor, in Lyon Park recently sold at auction for $2.2 million.

Located at at 3120 N. Pershing Drive, the 13,700-square-foot home is rather infamous due to its luxuriousness. Inside, there is a ballroom, pool, library, waterfall, and a "prayer room." In 2005, The Washington Post reported that neighbors described the planned property as "absurd."

The previous owner of the home was Yogi Dumera, the restaurateur behind Delhi Dhaba and Arlington Rooftop Bar and Grill. The original asking price in June 2014 was $3,995,900. The price was later chopped to $1,999,999 in September 2016.

ARLnow further reported that Dumera planned on converting the property into a bed and breakfast before eventually placing the property on the auction market.
