Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for D.C., announced in a press release that the historic Carnegie Library at Mt. Vernon Square will reopen Tuesday, January 17. Since September 26, the library has been closed due to mold being found in two areas of the library.

The areas where the mold was found were not clarified. The cost of the remediation of the mold was not disclosed.

Events DC staff and The Historical Society of Washington, D.C., which is headquartered in the library, had to be relocated after the mold was found.
