From October to November of this year, average rents across the nation rose from $1,042 to $1028 for one-bedrooms, as reported by ABODO. For Washington, D.C., rents fell 2 percent month-over-month.
Columbus, Ohio topped the list for the largest rent decrease from October with a 15 percent month-over-month drop. Seattle, Washington ranked second for biggest fall with a 12 percent drop, while Atlanta, Georgia ranked third with an eight percent drop.
In the nation, the city with the biggest month-over-month rise in rents was San Jose, California with a 13 percent rise. In second and third place, it was Sacramento, California (5 percent) and Virginia Beach, Virginia (4 percent).
