A Shaw parking lot may one day become a LEED Gold-certified residential building with 80 units. Roadside Development and Dantes Partners recently filed a Planned Unit Development to construct The Residences at City Market at 1336 8th Street NW.
UrbanTurf reported that the building is planned to be 98 feet tall with 1,240 square feet for The Church of the Immaculate Conception and 6,740 square feet of other uses. 30 percent of the residential units will be designated for affordable housing. A portion of the building may eventually become a restaurant with sidewalk seating. There will also be a 20-space, below-grade parking garage west of the site.
