Former Georgetown Holiday Inn planned to become mixed-use project

When complete, the new project will house over 200 apartments and 20,000 square feet of retail

There are plans to redevelop the former site of a Holiday Inn into a mixed-use development.

UrbanTurf was the first to report that the JBG Companies hopes to redevelop the Georgetown site for 225 apartments and 20,000 square feet of retail. Units will range from studios through four-bedrooms.

Located at 2101 Wisconsin Avenue NW, the inn closed in 2015 with no retail leases signed yet for the site.

Construction is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2017.
