If you want to live like the Kennedys do, there is a new mansion on the Georgetown market, listed by Nancy Taylor Bubes of Washington Fine Properties.
The home was previously owned by Jackie Kennedy, the wife of U.S. President John F. Kennedy. Before it was publicly listed this Thursday, it landed on the market in June 2016 for $10 million. It has since undergone a price chop, dropping it to the current $8.995 million price.
The former First Lady only lived in the property for one year before moving to New York. Later owners included New Republic publisher Michael Straight and American singer and beauty pageant titleholder Yolande Betbeze Fox.
With views of the Potomac River, the East Village home features six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and one half bathroom. It was constructed c. 1794 and boasts large entertaining spaces and a spacious, fenced-in rear patio.
