30-unit apartment building planned for Alabama Avenue SE

The units will range from one- to two-bedrooms

In the Southeast quadrant of Washington, D.C., there are plans to construct a brand new apartment building. The location for the project is 2495 Alabama Avenue SE, a site in-between three neighborhoods: Skyland, Naylor Gardens, and Garfield Heights.

According to the documents filed with the D.C. Board of Zoning Adjustment, the plans are for the development to house 30 rentals, ranging from one-bedrooms to two-bedrooms. The entire project will span 22,700 gross square feet and will include off-street surface parking for no fewer than 11 vehicles.

Currently, the site houses a vacant, gutted red brick building.

There are no reports yet as to what the prices for the rentals might be.
