16 neighborhoods enter the ring. Only one can be the victor. By a difference of six votes, the Northwest neighborhood Petworth beat Brookland for this year's Curbed Cup. Brookland put up an awesome fight, garnering almost 50 percent of the votes. In the end, while there is no tangible trophy, Petworth still gets bragging rights, and that's still something to be proud of. Past Curbed Cup winners have included Navy Yard (2013), Anacostia (2012), and Capitol Hill (2011), all Southeast neighborhoods. Will next year's Curbed Cup victor also be in the Northwest quadrant? We'll just have to wait and find out.
