Homes in Washington, D.C. Are Selling Faster Than Ever

In a matter of five years, the amount of time that homes stay on the market before selling has dropped dramatically. According to UrbanTurf, the median days that homes stayed on the market in the third quarter of 2010 was 30 days, but in the third quarter of 2015, the number was just eight days. The fast rate doesn't spread across Washington, D.C. evenly, though. While homes in American University Park sell in a week on average, they sell an average of 21 days in Observatory Circle, reported UrbanTurf.
