Two 16th St. NW Buildings to Be Redeveloped, Deliver 2017

Two buildings on 16th Street NW are going to be totally redeveloped. Washington Business Journal reported that developer Akridge with partner Stars Investments purchased the buildings at 1101 and 1111 16th St. NW with plans to renovate them and turn them into one freestanding trophy-class office building. The new development will feature 100,000-square-feet of space with views of the White House and amenities like a fitness center and rooftop terrace. Akridge President Matt Klein said in a statement that he hopes for the building to appeal to law firms, associations, and government affairs clients. Expect the project to complete by 2017.
