Originally, the proposed condo development at 1468 Belmont Street NW was for a roughly 20-unit condo building, but after the previous owner, Capitol Luxury Development, sold the site to Taurus Development Group, plans changed. In September 2014, District Source reported that the proposed development would combine the site's two empty lots with a 16,285-square-foot condo building with each unit ranging from 500- to 1,025-square-feet. The previous developers hoped to complete the project by the fall of 2015. Now, the current plans are for a roughly 13,500-square-foot multi-family development with four stories and eight units. Some amenities will include extra storage, bike storage, balconies, and a green roof. There are also plans for eight parking spaces. Curbed DC reached out to Taurus Development Group for further details, but was not contacted back by press time. Expect an update when more information is released.
