Here Are the Best Family-Friendly Neighborhoods in D.C.

New, 1 comment

The CubeSmart blog recently listed these nine neighborhoods as the most family-friendly in the city: Georgetown, Glover Park, the Palisades, Dupont Circle, Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights, Capitol Hill, American University Park, and Spring Valley. While all of these neighborhoods are good choices with highly ranked schools and lively neighborhoods, each of them suffer from one major flaw: they are all very, very expensive. A majority of the neighborhoods on the list have median sale prices that go into the millions. In the list, the Palisades/Spring Valley area has the highest median sale price with $1.4 million, while Glover Park has the lowest with a median sale price of $370,000. For the families in the D.C. area who aren't able to spend a pretty penny for just any ol' house, see what neighborhoods Curbed DC recommends below.
