A Mt. Vernon Triangle surface parking lot may see a new life as a Class-A office building with ground-floor retail. With designs by Shalom Baranes Associates, the 500,000-square-foot development will feature 29,000-square-feet of retail and three levels of below-grade parking. District Source reported that the property will also include an up to 30,000-square-foot green roof area. Property owners Boston Properties and Steuart Investment Co. hope to target the development towards millennials and "traditional potential tenants." Because of this, the two owners opted out of building the development at 501 K Street NW. Instead, the development will be located on 1001 Sixth Street NW. Take a peek at the photo gallery below to see how it will look if approved by ANC 6E this week.
