After 2.5 Months, See Inside the Newly Renovated Sofitel Hotel

Inspired by the vintage fashions of Paris and Washington, D.C., Boston-based design firm CBT took two-and-a-half months to redesign the Sofitel hotel at Lafayette Square with new furniture and new color schemes for the lobby, ballroom, and guest suites. The lobby now features custom-made screens, new desks made of dark stone, and a new hand-woven rug. With rich red accents, the 237 guest rooms sport a geometric dark carpet with cream and black furniture. The suites offer a blue color palette with plush cream furniture and metal furniture decorating the space. The library spaces have also been updated with new furniture and books about both Washington, D.C. and France. This McPherson Square hotel is only one block away from the nearest Metro station.
