Adams Morgan's Italian Embassy to Become Luxury Apartments

New, 1 comment

Plans are in the works to convert the Italian Embassy in Adams Morgan into an apartment building with a nine-story building constructed behind it. The Washington Business Journal reported that units will range from studios to three-bedrooms. The number of apartments the development will feature is still unknown. Expect a variety of amenities, including a resident clubhouse, "club-quality fitness center," and outdoor private terraces and courtyards. The previous plan for the development was to convert the property for 130 for-sale condominiums, but, according to the Washington Business Journal, the developer Mill Creek Residential Trust "doesn't do condos." Construction is expected to begin 2016
