And the award for dopest basement in Washington, D.C. goes to this Adams Morgan townhome. Inspired by one PoPville reader's dig out, the owner of this basement decided that it was time to conduct a major renovation to the unfinished basement in 2012. On the PoPville blog, the owner asked for advice on how to carry out the renovation as well as referrals for architects. Finally, after nearly two-and-a-half years of work, the owner has returned with photos of the brand spanking new basement that puts most luxury apartments to shame. It took over six months to finally get the needed permits, but with help from Rich Loosle and Andrew Baldwin of Kube Architecture, the basement finally got the facelift it always wanted. What you can find inside this sexy man cave include multicolor LED recessed lighting, sleek modern finishes, and ceilings that extend up to nine-feet high..
