Permits Issued for Second Phase of Monroe Street Market

Last October, the mixed-use Monroe Street Market development opened its doors to the public in Brookland and Edgewood. Soon, the luxury development will offer even more to the neighborhoods. Already underway, building permits have been issued for the the second phase, called "Gallery Towns." ElevationDC reported that this second phase will involve the construction of townhouses in the 600 block of Lawrence Street NE, the 600 block of Kearny Street NE, and at 3302 7th Street NE. The asking price for each three-story townhouse will be in the $700,000s. The $200 million project will end up having a total 720 residential units when completed.
