Silver Spring Library

This Saturday, the nearly $70 million Silver Spring Library will open its doors to the public at 900 Wayne Avenue. According to Gazette.net, construction for the roughly 90,000-square-foot building began in 2013. It is the first library in the county public system to contain escalators. The library will also feature book lockers and a back-office conveyor belt system for dropped off books. [Gaz]
