Recently, the D.C. Zoning Commission ruled that all single-family homes in the R-4 zoning district can be a maximum of 35 feet high, but this ruling may not be enforced for a while. According to the Washington Business Journal, the regulations will not be enforced until a drafted, reviewed, and signed notice is published in the D.C. Register, a process that could take weeks.
