Washingtonian reported on the percentage of income people are willing to give up to live in an area. In 2000, people were willing to give up 20 percent of their income to live in "Northwest DC/Georgetown," and in 2010 were willing to give up 26.7 percent to live in the area. Meanwhile, people were willing to give up 6.8 percent in Fairfax County and 10.4 percent in Alexandria in 2000, but in 2010 paid up to 10.6 percent and 15.9 percent, respectively. [Wash]
