Just last month, this quasi-castle landed on the Burleith market with an octagonal turret and red brick facade. For those who like to go above and beyond, it's time to look further south to this 16,000-square-foot McLean mansion that goes by the name "Castle on the River." Some of the most noteworthy features in the castle-like home include that it has two media rooms, a 1,000-square-foot indoor pool, sauna, and a glass elevator that connects to the four levels of the home. According to Washingtonian, the single-family home was listed in 2012 for $12.5 million and then relisted for $8.99 million with the contingency that the buyer would have to live in the home for three years. Now back on the market with an asking price of $13.5 million, there don't appear to be any contingencies buyers should be aware of. Buyers should be aware, though, that the listing will hit the auction block on June 23 with no minimum bid.
