In March 2015, the number of home sales nationwide jumped 6.1 percent from the previous month, creating the biggest monthly increase seen since December 2010. According to the National Association of Realtors, the median price of an existing home sale was 7.8 percent higher than in March 2014, making it the largest price gain since February 2014. The number of first-time homebuyers also rose, making up 30 percent of closed sales, 1 percent higher from the previous month. [WBJ]
