Rush Hour Setback

The plan was for the Metro to run all eight-car trains during rush hour by the year 2020, but with declining rail ridership and demands for fiscal restraint, the Metro might have to scale back this goal. According to WAMU, the alternative plan is for the Metro to designate an additional 220 new railcars for replacement of the existing fleet. [WAMU] [Photo via A.Currell]
