New Renderings for 'Yoga-Centric' Fitness Center in Bethesda

An empty post office will soon be converted into Bethesda's newest fitness center. The historic post office closed in 2012 after years of financial struggle and limited parking. With plans to open by September 2015, the fitness center, called Bridges Fitness & Yoga, will include a health cafe, locker rooms, massage treatment rooms, and a main yoga and fitness studio. Founder of Bridges Fitness & Yoga Alain Cohen told Bethesda Now that the fitness center won't be "purely yoga," but will instead be "yoga-centric." Bethesda Magazine reported that the parking lot of the building will be shortened and that the loading dock will be enclosed in glass for the cafe. There will also be a rooftop yoga space.
